It has all the power you'd expect from a Chevy Silverado. And adds a futuristic touch both inside and out. Get ready for the future. Get ready for the all-new Chevy Silverado EV in Livingston.
All-Electric, All-Power, All Chevy
Imagine having the power of a V8 engine without the expenses that come with it. The same power output as a gas-powered engine without the gas-guzzling nature. The same performance-centered pickup truck without the costly annual maintenance. The new Chevy Silverado EV is a new way to travel from Newark to Hanover, NJ. And this is how.
The Silverado EV is powered by two electric motors. So, there's no meaty eight-cylinder engine, but the power is still there. The entry-level WT trim delivers 510 horsepower and climbs from there. The RST trim adds up to 664 horsepower to your pickup truck. It won't growl, but when it comes to pure power, the growl means nothing compared to the bite. And the Silverado EV has it.
The Silverado EV adds a max towing capacity of 10,000 pounds for the RST and 8,000 for the WT. But Chevy announced that there would be an additional model that can pull up to 20,000 pounds. Not too shabby for a daily driver. Upgrades also include an adaptive air suspension and 24-inch rims with all-terrain tires. Four-wheel drive is standard.
Charging Capability
The Silverado EV is available with Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 charging capabilities. The most convenient connection is the Level 1 charger, but it also takes the longest to recharge your Silverado EV. The residential 120-Volt outlets can take up to 12 hours or more for a complete recharge. The professionally-installed Level 2 Charger can replenish battery power in as little as five hours. But the public Level 3 Charging station reduces charging times even more.
The Silverado EV joins a lineup of high-speed Level 3 recharging capabilities. And no additional equipment is needed for your Chevy EV since every model comes standard with the required connections. The Level 3 Charger supplies 100 miles of range in just ten minutes. And the Chevy Silverado EV delivers a driving range of 400 miles when fully charged.
Key Features for the 2024 Silverado EV
What makes the all-new Silverado EV stand out? Well, besides the fact that it's Chevy's first fully-electric pickup truck. You might be surprised at what this vehicle brings to the table. If you're ready to be impressed, read along.
Big-Time Power
The Silverado EV will have no less than 510 horsepower and 615 lb.-ft. of torque. Higher trim levels, like the RST, will allow up to 664 horsepower and 780 lb.-ft. of torque.
Improved Driving Range
GM expects an EPA-estimated 400-mile driving range when fully charged. That's with a fully charged battery powering you along.
Impressive Technology
The RST model features a massive 17-inch diagonal infotainment screen with an 11-inch customizable display. There's also an available 14-inch Head-Up display and Super Cruiseâ„¢ with trailering assistance.
Good On-Road or Off-Road
The Silverado EV RST adds four-wheel drive, Automatic Adaptive Air Suspension, and a Multi-Flex Mid-gate with an optional Multi-Flex tailgate. This truck is perfect for pre-game fun at the stadium or off-road enjoyment.
Towing is No Problem
The Silverado EV adds power to your daily commute with up to 10,000 lbs. of towing strength. Payload capacity increases to 1,300 lbs.
ÂGive Power to Your Electric Tools
The onboard 10.2kW power hookups with optional equipment are available on the WT and RST. Whether you need to power your grill at the campsite or recharge your electric drill, you've got more than enough to get it done with the Silverado EV.
Interior Design
What's not to love about the interior design of the new Silverado EV? A fixed glass roof delivers a clear view of the morning or evening sky in Hanover, NJ. The two-tone leather upholstery decorates your spacious cabin with over 44 inches of legroom and over 65 inches of shoulder room in both rows. You and your passengers can stretch out and enjoy the ride.
The column-mounted middle compartment enables a massive storage bin between the dashboard and the middle armrest. The dashboard has a mostly digital design with a standard 11-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8-inch digital gauge display. Other standard features are rumored to include automatic climate control, Apple/Android connections, in-dash navigation, and Wi-Fi streaming. Available upgrades include a 17-inch infotainment screen and an 11-inch cluster instrument.
Safety Features
The Silverado EV will keep safety as a priority in Summit, NJ, and West Caldwell. Standard features will include automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection warning. Available upgrades include lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and the popular Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system.
