Compare the Chevy Trailblazer with the Mazda CX-30

The Chevy Trailblazer is one of our most popular SUVs in Livingston. Its top-of-the-chart styling, standard interior features, and low MSRP are just a few reasons why so many drivers choose this SUV over others-but here's the question. Exterior Design

Chevy Trailblazer

The new Chevy Trailblazer has all the style points that Chevy could muster. With a twentieth-century approach to styling, this model trail blazes a path to an upscale commute from Newark to Hanover, NJ. With LED lights, a two-tone colorway, sweeping body lines, and a front grille that screams aggression, the Chevy Trailblazer is a sight to behold. While those standard features are certainly enough for most, the sporty RS offers a high-gloss Black mesh grille with RS badging and 19-inch high-gloss Black machined aluminum wheels, while the ACTIV adds an array of off-road enhancements to beef your frame up even more.

Mazda CX-30

The Mazda CX-30 has a minimalist approach to its exterior design-however, for Mazda fans, that isn't anything new. You'll find an aerodynamic hood that hints at its performance capability. The LED daytime running lights and deep Black Mazda grille keep things straightforward-a truly buttoned-up, no-frills approach to design. Upgrading to a higher trim will unlock the Black accented grille, durable black roof rails, and 18-inch wheels.

Interior Design and Technology

Chevy Trailblazer

The Trailblazer creates space for five passengers inside the cabin. When you need to carry long items, the Trailblazer's versatile seating arrangement can create up to 8.5 feet of cargo space. The cloth seats are firm and supportive inside the entry-level models, but upgrading to the ACTIV or RS will include EvoTex seats, a wireless charging pad, a hands-free liftgate, and more. However, no matter which trim you select, the 11-inch diagonal color touchscreen is included with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

Mazda CX-30

The Mazda CX-30 also has room for five passengers with cloth-trimmed sport seats for the first few base model trims. After you spend a few (or more) thousands for an upgraded trim level, you'll have leatherette or Terracotta leather-trimmed sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats. As far as infotainment goes, the 8.8-inch screen is snazzy-however, upgrading to a top-line trim will unlock the 10.25-inch screen.

Fuel Economy and Performance

Chevy Trailblazer

Each Chevy Trailblazer is powered by a 1.3-liter turbo engine with an EPA-estimated 29/33 MPG city/highway. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is assumed for each trim, but you can customize your Trailblazer or select a model with AWD already included. If you want a more rugged approach to your commute in Summit, NJ, the ACTIV trim adds off-road suspension tuning, a functional skid plate, and three drive modes to adapt to your surroundings at the drop of a dime.

Mazda CX-30

The Mazda CX-30 provides one of two engine options. Entry-level models are motivated by a SKYACTIV®-G 2.5 DOHC 4-cylinder engine with an EPA-estimated 26/33 MPG city/highway. The other option increases power but at the expense of fuel economy. You'll have to judge if the 250 horsepower is worth an EPA-estimated 22/30 MPG city/highway.
